Information for the media
ICAC will make available a media liaison person. When possible and appropriate the Commissioner will make himself available to the media.
The Independent Commissioner Against Corruption Act 2012 (the ICAC Act) prescribes that investigations and examinations be conducted in private. Unless the Commissioner deems an issue to be in the public interest, he will not make comment on operational activities.
ICAC will not exhibit bias towards any media outlet in the dissemination of official statements.
The media should be aware that it is an offence to publish information regarding matters that may or may not have been reported to the Office for Public Integrity (OPI) or any matters under investigation by the Independent Commissioner Against Corruption (ICAC). An offence of this nature is punishable by a maximum penalty of $30,000 for an individual and $150,000 for a body corporate.
All media enquiries should be directed to:

As the Commissioner is no longer a judge, it is correct to refer to him as Commissioner Lander or the Hon. Bruce Lander QC and not as Justice Lander.
