Evaluations

Evaluations consider what improvements can be made to minimise corruption, misconduct and maladministration.

The Commissioner can evaluate the practices, policies and procedures of an inquiry or public authority with a view to improving systems that will better equip the agency to resist corruption, misconduct and maladministration.

An evaluation is not an investigation of individual conduct. If an evaluation uncovers conduct that might require investigation, the conduct will be dealt with separately and in accordance with the legislation.

An evaluation can be conducted by public inquiry if the Commissioner determines there is a good reason to do so.
