Eyre Peninsula: ICAC/OPI Awareness for Public Officers

How does the ICAC affect you? Ask him when he visits the Eyre Peninsula in October.

Date & Time:
Friday, October 4, 2019 - 9:30am to 11:00am
Port Lincoln Hotel - 1 Lincoln Highway, Port Lincoln, SA 5606

The Independent Commissioner Against Corruption, the Hon. Bruce Lander QC, invites you to join him at the Port Lincoln Hotel on the morning of Friday 4 October, to learn about the role and functions of his office and how it affects you as a public officer.

The Commissioner will explain your reporting obligations and the type of conduct he is interested in hearing about, and he will allow ample time for you to ask him questions.

The ICAC Act impacts all public officers and public authorities working in South Australian public administration.

If you are an employee of a state government agency or a local council, or you are performing contract work for them, you are a public officer and are subject to the ICAC Act.

The primary function of the Commissioner is to identify and investigate corruption. He also assists agencies to identify and deal with misconduct and maladministration, and also to prevent it.

A separate session for elected members of local government is also available - please contact us if you are interested in attending.
