The Independent Commissioner Against Corruption will commence hearing submissions in relation to his evaluation of the practices, policies and procedures of the regulatory arm of SafeWork SA at 10:00am on Monday 2 July 2018. Martyn Campbell, Executive Director of SafeWork SA, will be the first person to make an oral submission.

The hearing will be held in Hearing Room 1, Level 7, Riverside Centre, North Terrace, Adelaide.

The hearing will be open to the public. Limited seating will be available on a first come first served basis. Once the room is full the doors will be closed and no further access will be allowed.

While media are invited to record the hearing, attendees are advised that the Commissioner may need to determine to prohibit the publication of parts of submissions made during the course of a hearing if the Commissioner is satisfied that such publication would not be appropriate. Consequently, the Commissioner will not permit live streaming of the hearings.

Some written submissions received by the Commissioner will be published on the Commissioner’s website this afternoon. Other documents relating to the evaluation will be uploaded throughout this week.

A schedule of hearings will be published on the ICAC website (www.icac.sa.gov.au) on Friday 29 June 2018.
