Review of the Police Complaints and Discipline Act 2016 (SA)

The Commissioner undertook a review of the Police Complaints and Discipline Act 2016 (SA).

On 16 May 2019 the Commissioner’s report ‘A Twelve Month Review of the Police Complaints and Discipline Act 2016’ was tabled in Parliament. 

The report makes 18 recommendations and was prepared for the purpose of informing Parliament of the issues identified during the first year of operations of the Police Complaints and Discipline Act 2016 (PCDA).

The Commissioner said ‘In my opinion minor amendments should be made to the PCDA to make it work better’.
