Utilising their skills, experience and qualifications in the application of legal principles in complaints and reports, Assessment Officers make a major contribution in supporting the Commissioner in maintaining an ethical and accountable public sector.

Working in a high performing team in the Office for Public Integrity (OPI), Assessment Officers assess complaints and reports in accordance with the ICAC Act and make recommendations as to what action ought to be taken. 

Assessment Officers also monitor and review assessments made by SA Police of complaints and reports about police conduct, making recommendations as to the need for re-assessment.
