Facilities Maintenance in Local Government

Published 25 August 2021.

Facilities Maintenance in Local Government follows an investigation into the conduct of a public officer working in facilities maintenance at a local council. The investigation uncovered a pattern of improper conduct. However, poor record keeping and a lack of admissible evidence meant it was doubtful a charge of corruption would be sustained.

The report has been prepared to inform public officers working in local government about corruption prevention issues revealed by several corruption investigations conducted by Commission officers.

The report has been prepared in accordance with section 42 of the ICAC Act.
