ICAC Contract Management Survey 2025

Some of the most serious corruption cases in Australia have involved a public officer manipulating contracts for personal gain.

ICAC is examining corruption risks in the management of public sector contracts. Those who have direct involvement in public sector contract management were invited to provide their views and experiences of corruption risks.

The Contract Management Survey invited submissions from:

  • public sector employees who have a contract management role
  • contractors or subcontractors who have provided goods, services, or construction works to public sector agencies.

While the formal survey period has now closed, the survey links below will remain active into early 2026 should you wish to finalise your submission.

Thank you to all who participated.

Survey FAQs

The survey is hosted by an external market research provider. Once the survey has closed, the data will be provided to ICAC and all  data held by the research provider will be deleted. Only ICAC staff have access to the data.

The survey data will be analysed for broad themes relating to corruption risks in public sector contract management. These observations will be published in a report which will be tabled in Parliament and published on the Commission’s website.

We understand some participants may feel reluctant to provide information which might identify them. Any responses that could identify you will remain confidential. ICAC may quote survey responses in its report. However, the quotes selected will not identify any person or organisation.

The information you provide does not constitute a report. Alleged corruption, misconduct or maladministration in public administration must be reported to the Office for Public Integrity.

If you require technical assistance completing the survey, please call 8232 3355. If you have any questions regarding the survey, please contact prevention@icac.sa.gov.au
