The Commissioner will publish reports about concluded investigations, research, evaluations and reviews if the Commissioner thinks it is in the public interest to do so.

  • This evaluation focused on the City of Playford’s practices, policies and procedures. It also addresses opportunities to improve integrity measures in procurement and human resource management. The evaluation made 21 recommendations aimed at minimising the risks of corruption, misconduct and maladministration.

  • The Trusted Insider follows investigations into public officers at the Yorke Peninsula Council and TAFE SA who were found to have breached their positions of trust.

  • A Twelve Month Review of the Police Complaints and Discipline Act 201 report informed Parliament of the issues identified during the first year of the Police Complaints and Discipline Act 2016 operations.

    The report made 18 recommendations regarding legislative amendments to assist in addressing these issues.

  • In 2018 Commissioner Lander conducted a the Commission's first survey of South Australian public officers to better understand state and local government employee’s attitudes and perceptions towards corruption and inappropriate conduct in their workplaces.

  • The Evaluation of the Practices, Policies and Procedures of the Regulatory Arm of SafeWork SA examines SafeWork SA’s practices, policies, and procedures relating to the regulatory arm of SafeWork SA.

    39 recommendations were made to assist SafeWork SA in preventing or minimising corruption, misconduct and maladministration.

  • 2017–18 Annual Report for the Independent Commission Against Corruption and Office for Public Integrity.

  • Oakden: A Shameful Chapter in South Australia’s History followed an investigation into potential serious or systemic maladministration in public administration at the Oakden facility.

    The report highlighted systemic failings in processes and oversight over more than a decade.

  • The Evaluation of the Practices, Policies and Procedures of the Public Trustee was conducted following more than 30 complaints and reports about public officers who comprise Public Trustee’s staff. It focused on the agency’s core business – the administration of trusts, deceased and personal estates, and the preparation of wills.

  • Sale of State Owned Land at Gillman followed a misconduct and maladministration investigation into the sale of state owned land at Gillman at a price significantly less than its market value.

    The report considered whether the responsible Minister had influenced public officers to proceed with the deal instead of offering it to the market in an open tender, or at least giving it due consideration with a reliable land valuation.

  • On 2 July 2015 Commissioner Lander’s report titled Evaluation of the Practices, Policies and Procedures of the Police Ombudsman was tabled in Parliament outlining his reasons for discontinuing this evaluation,

  • The Review of Legislative Schemes relates to the review of the legislative schemes governing oversight and management of complaints about police, and complaints and reports about public administration in South Australia.

    As a result of the review, recommendations were made to address some of the serious problems in the existing system, particularly in relation to delay, duplication, complexity and formality.

  • A Review of the Whistleblowers Protection Act 1993 (SA) was undertaken at the request of the Attorney-General. Thirty recommendations were made at the conclusion of the review.
